Shropshire IT Company Recycling Achievement

Shropshire I.T. company recycling achievement

A Shropshire IT business has recycled paperwork equivalent to five trees in just 11 months – and created quite a bit of toilet roll!

Bespoke Computing Ltd recycle all of the paperwork from their offices on Stafford Park in Telford and, as much of it is client information, it is all professionally shredded.

Between September 2011 and August 2012 the company has recycled a third of a tonne of paper and over half a tonne of cardboard with Shifnal-based WN Security Shredding.

Diane Gardner, managing director at WN, said: “We like to inform our customers how much they have recycled so they can see the impact their actions are making.

“One tonne of paper is equal to 17 trees so a third of a tonne in less than a year is a great achievement.”

The recycled paper at WN Shredding goes on to make kitchen towels and Nouvelle toilet paper.

Bespoke Computing Ltd managing director Chris Pallett said: “This method not only ensures our paperwork is secure at all times until it is destroyed but means we are helping the environment.

“It is great to know we are doing something that affects the bigger picture – and if I spot Nouvelle toilet roll I always wonder if maybe it once sat in our office!”
